Old Fashioned Corn Bread
1 cup Enriched Yellow Corn Meal
1 cup all purpose flour
2-4 tablespoons sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1 egg
1/4 cup vegetable oil

In large mixing bowl, combine corn meal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.

In a separate bowl beat, egg, milk and oil until smooth. About 1 minute.

Add liquid mixture to dry ingredients and stir until even.
Butter an 8 inch baking pan and pour mixture in pan.

Pre-heat over to 425 degrees and bake for 20 – 25 minutes or until done. Use the toothpick test. Insert a tooth pick into the middle of the corn bread, if it comes out clean the corn bread is done.
