Baklava
Ingredients

1 lb Butter clarified (real butter... none of that fake stuff!)
1 package Athens philo dough(thaw 24 hours in fridge before starting)
1 lb walnuts
1 lb pecans
1 cup sugar ( I use raw sugar )
2 tsp cinnamon

Syrup ingredients
1 cup water
1 cup honey
1/2 cup lemon juice

preheat oven to 350

Chop nut together finely and mix in sugar and cinnamon.
in 9x13 inch pan lightly paint hot butter and place first single sheet of philo dough. Paint the dough and lay another lawer on top. You want a light layer of butter just coating the whole sheet. do about 10-12 layers. Toss in a third of the nut mix and spread smooth...top with 4-6 layers of phlo dough, buttering each layer. do two more nut lawers this way and finish with the rest of the dough buttering each layer. Should be 10-15 layers. Cut with sharp knife into diamonds and bake for 50-60 miutes till golden brown.

While baklava is in oven heat water, honey and lemon juice till you have a hot syrup. Pour over the hot baklava when it is done and set aside to cool. Best eaten at least 4 hours after baking and after it is cooled.
