Slow Cooked Pork Roast
Select a pork roast that will easily fit into your slow cooker or crock pot.

For best results DO NOT THAW.

Remove all packaging from the roast. (If parts of the packaging are frozen to the roast run cool water over the frozen packaging until it is easily removed.)

Lightly season all sides of the roast with:
Garlic powder
Celery Salt
Black Pepper

Pour 1/8 - 1/4 cup of cooking oil into your crock pot or slow cooker. (Just enough to cover the bottom of the pot.) Place the seasoned roast in the pot and set the crock pot or slow cooker on high.

Turn the roast over every hour and check to make sure there is enough oil in the bottom of the pot so the roast won't burn.

After two hours, add 1 1/2 cups of hot water to the pot so the roast will steam.

Total cooking time: 4 - 5 hours or until tender.

Two hours before the roast is finished add chopped onion, baby carrots and chopped potatoes.

There should be plenty of juice in the bottom of the pot to make very tasty gravy.
