Slow Cooked Chicken Cacciatore
1 frying chicken, cut up
1/2 large onion, diced
2 large cans of diced tomatoes
2 teaspoons of garlic powder
2 tablespoons oregano
2 teaspoons basil
olive oil

In a large mixing bowl add diced tomatoes, garlic powder, oregano, onion and basil. Stir until ingredients are evenly blended.

Pour 1/8 inch of extra virgin olive in bottom of crock pot or slow cooker.

Place chicken parts in bottom of cooker. Pour mixed tomato base over chicken parts.

Cook at high setting until tomato sauce starts to bubble then reduce heat setting to medium.

Cook until chicken begins to fall off the bone. (3-5 hours depending on your slow cooker.)

Serve over a bed of rice.
